Container Safety -
Today I would like to address the safety of the containers your products are in. Products are packaged in plastic bottles and jars, but all plastics are not the same. Most of us are aware that there is a number on the bottom of plastic jars and bottles relating to the ability to recycle. But, these numbers also have another meaning - what they are made of.
Containers that are safe to use are numbers 2, 4, and 5.
Number 2 - these containers are made of HDPE High Density Polyethylene. This plastic is used for laundry soap containers, milk and juice containers, and grocery bags.
Number 4 - these containers are made of LDPE Low Density Polyethylene. This plastic is used for food wrap, grocery store bags, bread bags and other bottles.
Number 5 - these containers are made of PP Polypropylene. This plastic is used for medicine bottles, food containers, food cups, kitchen items.
These are the containers that have been designated safe. Meaning they do not leach toxic chemicals into your food or cosmetics. It is important to be aware of the type of container your products are in.
I have checked each container used at Pink Coral Skin Indulgence to be sure all are of a safe plastic. Some products are put into glass containers when it is necessary due to the content. Here at Pink Coral Skin Indulgence, your safety is of utmost importance. We also use these products here at home, and being naturally conscious, only the safest containers are accepted.
Please feel to free to leave us a comment!
Until next week -

I found this information on containers extremely important and some of it I didn't know. Thanks so much for sharing.
