Cupuacu butter (pronounced koo-pwa-soo) is an excellent emollient that helps to restore elasticity to the skin while providing anti-oxidants and hydration. It is considered a “super-moisturizer” as it carries water to the skin, helping to make it supple, soft and more elastic. It also helps to aid sunburned, dry, and aging skin.
Cupuacu butter has been studied to deliver true healing and restructuring benefits to the skin because it contains powerful anti-oxidants and phytosterols which may have an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.
As it quickly absorbs into the skin on contact, it works on the cellular level. In addition to regulating the balance of water, cupuacu butter helps regulate activities of the lipid layer within the skin.
Our Cupuacu Butter is blended with unrefined Coconut Oil from Ghana, Argan Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, and Vitamin E. Because it contains water, we have added a phthalate free, paraben free preservative. This cream leaves a silky feel on your skin.
