Pacific Black Sea Salt is made from sea salt harvested from the Pacific Ocean, the salt is infused with activated charcoal (derived from coconut shells) to give Hawaiian Black Lava Sea Salt its distinctive black color.  The salt is known to have detoxifying and purifying qualities, and its granular texture makes it a wonderful exfoliant and cleansing additive, leaving your skin with a healthy glow.
 
Pink Coral's salt scrub also contains Hawaiian Red Alaea Salt. Alaea is a naturally occurring, mineral-rich Hawaiian volcanic clay that gives the salt a unique color imparted by its high iron content.  It is a valuable source for iron and trace minerals.  It is harvested from Pacific waters using solar evaporation which allows the crystals to form when it is mixed with the Hawaiian volcanic clay. Red alaea salt is processed naturally by hand and is one of the most sought-after natural salts in the world. The salt ponds on the Western side of the Hawaiian island of Kauai are an ancient harvesting place for red alaea salt.
Sea salt helps balance oil production without causing over-drying. Clear pores: Sea salt cleanses and fights acne-causing bacteria naturally. Anti-inflammatory: This ingredient not only fights redness, but it may even help improve skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.
